ART MARATHON, PEACE AND DIVERSITY 2011

PRESENTATION

Peace and Diversity  Marathon Art  2011 is a worldwide event in which, January 15 and 16 2011, hundreds of artists from dozens of countries around the world will join us for 48 hours and send a message of Peace and Unity in Diversity throughout the world. These events will platform the virtual world Second Life.

Marathon Art is a private event, not affiliated with any organization, aligned to any political or religious in its policy of independence and detachment gives some temporary salaries for auxiliary tasks.

DEVELOPMENT EVENT

1) The Art Marathon, Peace and Diversity will be held on 15-16 January. During these two days will be different events (concerts, literary readings, exhibitions of visual arts...).

VISUAL ARTS SECTION

In relation to the works and texts and selected events will be held as indicated below:

a) The subject of the work is of a completely free, although the direction of this event invites artists to, if possible, send works with themes related to this event.
b) will be exposed in the field of the SIM from the day January 13, 2011.
c)  January 15 and 16, 2011, will display the works and texts will be read during the various events to be held, stating the name of the author.
d) From January 16 until February 28 this year, will begin traveling exhibition galleries, museums and Second Life.
e) Works, texts and authorship will be broadcast on the official blog.
f) In relation to those galleries and museums that are based in Second Life, citing the place of location of these though, as this is a non-profit event and altruistic, may not appear in any logo.
g) The deadline for submission of works received in the email MUSEUM Karura Art Centre (MKAC), ends on the January 10th of this year at 12.00 pm (Spanish time).
h) The receipt of the work, and their participation in the Marathon of Art, Peace and Diversity, will be confirmed by the direction of the Museum Karura Art Centre (MKAC), through an e-mail.

PARTICIPATION OF ARTISTS

To participate in the Marathon Art, Peace and Diversity 2011 will be followed by the following criteria:

1) Send the image of a work, and a sentence related to the theme of the marathon,(Peace, Diversity, Unity ...), email MUSEUM Karura Art Centre (MKAC) karuramuseo@hotmail.com
2) The image format must be in JPG.
3) In the previous e-mail must include the artist's permission to display the work in the Marathon Art, Peace and Diversity 2011.

MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES OF SECOND LIFE

Museum and cultural entities interested in hosting the exhibition, they should write to email the MUSEUM Karura Art Centre (MKAC), stating that interest, the owner's name and address of museum or gallery before the date January 8, 2011.

Museums and cultural institutions selected, undertake to exhibit works at least 7 days.

OWNERSHIP OF WORK

The intellectual property belongs to the author works the same. This is limited only has give permission to display the duration of the event and exhibition (February 28, 2011).

USE OF THE IMAGES.

The organization of the Marathon Art, Peace and Diversity 2011, shall not use any of the images received for purposes other than those of the exhibition.

As of February 28, 2011, works and texts will not be displayed or released by the organization of the Marathon Art, Peace and Diversity 2011.

ADVERTISING AND DISCLOSURE

All entities museums, cultural centers, associations or individuals, (whether or not users of Second Life), disclose and advertise on their websites, blogs ... this event (and thus make them known to the direction of MKAC through its e-mail), contained in the official blog of Arts Marathon, Peace and Diversity in 2011 and Karura MUSEUM ART CENTRE, (MKAC).
