VenezuelaTeachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (VenTESOL) is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 aimed at English Teachers in Venezuela, whose mission is to developed expertise in English teaching and learning. Its main objectives are to: promote the ELT issues studies, strengthen the English language teaching and learning at all educational levels in Venezuela, promote and spread research works in the ELT area, and work collaboratively with other teacher organizations with the same interests. During the past 38 years, VenTESOL has focused on fulfilling its mission in spite of the ongoing sociopolitical crisis in Venezuela. Since its foundation year, VenTESOL has held over 150 Regional conventions and 35 National Conventions. Call for presenters VWMOOC2021 The 8th annual event is organized by Drs. Nancy Zingrone, Doris Molero, and Nellie Deutsch. Special guests, Ann Novak and Valerie Hill.  The theme of the current MOOC is “Connecting in Virtual Worlds. Communities of Practice” There are a plethora of communities in virtual worlds promoting education and learning through connecting online via web technologies such as Second Life.  VWMOOC21 will focus on connecting online for collaborative learning and teaching around the world through virtual worlds like Second Life, Digiworldz, Kitely, Minecraft, or OpenSim.   The Electronic Village Online (EVO, http://evosessions.pbworks.com/ ) Call for Proposals for 2022 is now open for language teaching practitioners and specialists to apply to give 5-week online professional development sessions for teachers worldwide. The actual five-week EVO22 sessions will take place from January 10 to February 13, 2022. Proposals may be on any topic relevant to the teaching of English to speakers of other languages. The deadline for proposals is September 12, 2021. Applicants will find instructions on how to create their proposal at http://evosessions.pbworks.com/.../14516.../EVO2022Proposals .
